The Country that is Costa Rica
Costa Rica is a tropical country in Central America. It borders Nicaragua to the north, Panama to the south, the Caribbean Sea to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west. The capital San José is located in the Central Valley in the middle of the country. Costa Rica might be a small tropical country but due to the mountainious terrain and influenes from both the Pacific and the Caribbean coast the country has a complex pattern of microclimates and climate zones. Depending on the regions you plan to visit there is a good chance that you will have to deal with hot, humid, sunny, rainy and/or colder weather conditions. An occasional power outage, poor internet access in some areas, insects or other unwanted animals in your accommodation, and worse road conditions than you might be used to especially during rainy season are also something to consider. As a wise person once told me 'Costa Rica is not about getting wet, it is about dancing in the rain'. Embrace the natural wonder that is Costa Rica and you will have a great experience!
